They are an extra heavy duty jig head, available in two hook types from Gamakatsu, renowned for the world’s finest hooks; Gamakatsu SL12 and Gamakatsu O’Shaughnessy XHW, depending on your target species and application.

Gamakatsu SL12
The Gamakatsu SL12 10/0 is the finer wire of the two, super-sharp and designed with penetration in mind. It is perfect for deep water barramundi, mulloway, snapper and other reef species. Convert those deep water taps to hook-ups with the SL12, available in 1, 2, 3 and 4oz 10/0.

Gamakatsu O’Shaughnessy XHW
The O’Shaughnessy XHW is still deadly sharp, but this extra heavy wire hook is designed primarily for handling powerful, aggressive brawlers, such as amberjack, kingies, sambos, GTs and monster reefies. If you want to try and put the brakes on big fish with heavy gear, this is the jig head for you. It is available in 1oz 7/0, 2, 3, 4 & 6oz 9/0 and 6 & 8oz 10/0.
